News Catering is a full service catering company. We arrange a large variety of different types of events from large corporate events to intimate family get-togethers, in either the clients’ own location or alternatively we can help find a suitable venue for the event. We are known for excellent food and offer a wide, diverse selection of different types of menus. Event planning and program services can also be arranged through News Catering as we have a wide network of event organisations that we work closely with.

News Catering offers services in the capital region and, if necessary, also to other parts of Finland with more than 25 years of experience. We have been organising various events with solid professionalism since the late 1990s. We employ around 10 people on a permanent basis and a large number of seasonal workers during peak periods. The food is prepared in Herttoniemi in Helsinki, from where it is transported to the customers in a suitable refrigerated truck and company vans. We have catered for everything from intimate occasions for a few people to hundreds and even thousands of guests.

Our kitchen strives to offer fresh menu items according to different themes and seasons. Through us you can rent, for example, tableware and skilled staff to handle the event. We have several options for party spaces where we can hold meetings, seminars, relaxed kick-off events and various family parties as well as weddings and birthdays. Through our cooperation network, you can order, for example, various decoration, program and event services for your occasion.

Is your company planning a Kick off or a staff party or Christmas party do you need to find a venue for the event, ideas for the theme and and food– we will help you!

Since as early as the late 1990’s, News Catering has organised different types of events for businesses with solid expertise. Whether the event in question is a luncheon for 10 people, a large event for hundreds of guests, or a business event, we will help you find a suitable venue. We will deliver the food and drinks, and our staff will take care of all the practicalities and ensure the success of your event.

We can help you arrange the event at your own location or you can inquire about suitable venues through us. We have contacts to several venues in the central area of Helsinki and outside of Helsinki as well. Event organisation and program services can also all be ordered through us and our professional partners.

Business meeting services

Does your company hold meetings, seminars or conferences? We will help you with the practical arrangements and plan a varied and delicious meeting catering to match your company's needs. Together, we can design meeting packages with extensive menus to suit your requirements.

We can help you find just the right venue for your party

Whether it's a 10-person lunch or a multi-hundred-person business event, we'll help you find the right venue and deliver the catering and drinks. Our staff will take care of all practical arrangements and ensure the success of your event. We will help you arrange your event in your own premises or you can inquire about other facilities through us. We have contacts with several venues in the centre of Helsinki and beyond. Programme and event services and decoration can all be ordered with the help of us and our professional partners.

Wohls Stall

Volsintie 597, 02400 Kirkkonummi

After a complete renovation, a new banquet and event space, Wohls Stall, was opened in November 2020. The multipurpose hall of the stable is suitable for seminars, corporate events and family parties or concerts.

Depending on the furnishings, the hall can accommodate up to 150 people and the fully equipped kitchen allows smooth catering for larger groups. If necessary, the entrance hall can also be used as an additional space. The "Milk Chamber" meeting room for 8 people is ideal for e.g. management meetings. The Gustavian-style, romantic manor building Wohls Gård offers space for 60-65 persons and beautiful lakeside views.

Unforgettable events at the Theatre Museum

The Theater Museum space is perfectly adaptable to stage new kinds of parties and events. In the raw and edgy environment of the Cable Factory awaits an exciting world exuding the inimitable scent of theatre, within easy reach by public transport.

All kinds of parties and soirées can be organised in the Arkadia Theatre (fit for 10–60 guests), in the Black Box exhibition space (for 80 guests), round exhibition space (for 60 guests) – or in the entire Museum. The party can also move around the Museum! Arkadia has, among other things, sound equipment and a large screen for projections.

The area of ​​Villa Wuorio includes a wonderful over 120-year-old log villa, Villa Bergvik, a separate guest house, a beach sauna, and a nice open park area.

Meeting Park is a unique meeting, training and event centre for up to 500 people. The Meeting Park is located in key locations in the heart of the city centre - where it's easiest, fastest and most convenient to get around. In Helsinki, our offices are located right in the city centre and its transport hub - in the Ruoholahti metro station building, next to the Kluuvi shopping centre and next to the Kampi shopping centre, in the Sokos Hotel President building. Trains, Metros, Buses, Trams, Fillari and parking garages are all nearby - and all of them are directly accessible with dry feet!

Located in Hermann, Helsinki, the Agroksenmäki vault cellar is a 150-year-old beer factory warehouse and a barrel maker's workshop that was commissioned for event use in 2005. The space is unique in its kind, as the 300 square metre ballroom, vaulted from a five-metre-high natural granite, is half underground.

The vaulted cellar creates an atmospheric setting for various business-, theme-, wedding- and family celebrations, but is also ideal for exhibition, meeting and mini-fair use.

The stunning archipelago scenery of Helsinki offers a unique setting for your event. Family parties, meetings, recreation days and archipelago excursions are always more successful in the fresh sea air! We can tailor a cruise itinerary to your wishes. Suomenlinna, Eiranranta, Kalasatama and the Degerö Canal are just a few of the possible destinations, but our ships can sail all the way to Porvoo if you wish! Departure is conveniently from Kauppatori, the heart of Helsinki.

The Diana and Sofia represent the most modern of island ships, while the Victoria has a charming wooden ship charm. All boats have a large sun deck with unobstructed island views and comfortable interiors that can accommodate between 48 and 72 people, depending on the vessel. All boats have WI-FI, microphone, speakers in all rooms, toilets and a café/bar with concessions. Cruise season: May-September.

The city of Kauniainen owns the area of ​​Villa Frosterus located in Soukanniemi. The area is intended as a recreational and outdoor recreation area for the people of Kaunas. The recreation area offers opportunities for outdoor activities, beach life and island experiences.

Architect Sigurd Frosterus (1876-1956) built Villa Frosterus as his summer residence in 1913, which became a cozy summer retreat for the architect's family. Sigurd Frosterus also designed the Stockmann department store built in 1916 and the president's official residence; a villa in Tamminiemi, Helsinki, later known as the Urho Kekkonen Museum.

Today, you can feel the atmosphere of the past in the cozy milieu of Villa Frosterus, which offers a beautiful environment in which to spend an idea-rich meeting day or a memorable party; weddings, graduations, birthdays, all the celebrations of your life, which are nice to spend in a dignified and traditional milieu.

Villa Junghans is a historic villa building owned by the city of Kauniainen. The building primarily serves as a house for local associations and a meeting place. The Vanha Puoli of Villa Junghans is suitable for small-scale events. The premises of the additional building, or New side, can accommodate 150 people. The new side of the premises has a hall, lobby and kitchen. There is an electric piano in the hall.

The new side of Villa Junghans is available for rent on Fridays and Saturdays. The meeting rooms on the old side can be rented on weekdays and weekends when they are free from other regular activities taking place in the premises, at the discretion of cultural services.

Villa Junghans is an old villa from the 1910s and has been owned by the city since the 1970s. The villa was repaired in 1986, when an additional building was also built.

Kauniainen's little gem, Uusi Paviljonki, offers cultural pleasures for many tastes. The chamber music hall with its beautiful wooden interior and top acoustics is one of the most important event venues in Kaunas. Over the years, a wide range of different concerts and performances have been heard and seen in the hall, anniversaries, weddings and anniversaries have been celebrated, and classical music has been recorded.
